The aim is simple: agree what is being built, what it costs and what each side needs to do before the work starts.

Quotes and agreement
Initial enquiries and quotes are free and do not create an obligation to proceed. A project only begins once the scope, price and any important assumptions have been agreed.
Project scope
The agreed scope describes what CookyWeb will build. If requirements change significantly after work begins, any effect on cost or timescale should be discussed and agreed before additional work is carried out.
Payments
Payment arrangements may vary by project and will be stated in the quote or project agreement. Larger projects may require staged payments or a deposit. Final payment terms will be confirmed before launch.
Changes and refinements
Normal refinements are part of the collaborative build process. Requests that materially change the agreed project may be treated as additional work and quoted separately.
Timescales and client responsibilities
Estimated timescales depend on the agreed scope and on receiving necessary content, decisions, access details and feedback in a reasonable time. Delays in receiving those things may affect delivery dates.
Client content
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any text, images, logos, data or other material you provide for a project.
Hosting, maintenance and support
Where CookyWeb provides managed hosting, maintenance or ongoing support, the included service and recurring cost will be agreed separately. Clients may also choose to use their own suitable hosting where appropriate.
Ownership and reusable components
Project-specific content and data belong to the client. The final agreement should make clear what happens to bespoke code and any reusable CookyWeb components, frameworks or tools that may also be used across other projects.
Third-party services
Projects may rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, email services or APIs. Those services have their own availability, pricing and terms and are not fully controlled by CookyWeb.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation arrangements depend on the stage of the project and work already completed. These details should be confirmed in the quote or agreement for paid work.
Liability
CookyWeb will take reasonable care when building and maintaining systems, but no website or software can be guaranteed to be completely error-free, continuously available or immune from every security risk. Any detailed limitation of liability should be confirmed in the final client agreement.
